Hello Bike is the name of\u00a0a serial\u00a0of my social media bike\u00a0ideas. It will allow\u00a0riders to do\u00a0simple\u00a0communication with each-other with their bikes.<\/p>\n
My\u00a0original\u00a0idea was very simple.\u00a0It is exactly what\u00a0the\u00a0top image shows:\u00a0\u00a0a\u00a0rider will\u00a0says Hello to\u00a0everyone when he is through by. That\u00a0looks like \u00a0ridiculous, but if it is existed, it will make our social become more harmonious.<\/p>\n

We know that it’s hard to say hello to everyone you are through by because you will feel embarrassed. Also when you ride, you have to focus on your way but not to see people who is on sidewalk.<\/p>\n
Therefore, my idea\u00a0for solving this problem is using a sensor to detect if there\u00a0is\u00a0a person on sideway<\/span><\/span>. I tried to make prototype.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The sensor I used for my first try was Infrared Proximity Sensor. I found that was working\u00a0well when nothing blocks infrared from the sensor to the sidewalk, but , you know, that is hard to find a sidewalk is\u00a0without parked car, trees\u00a0or pipes which all blocks my sensor to detect my target people. In short, I have to rectify\u00a0my idea a\u00a0little bit.<\/p>\n After\u00a0my first\u00a0protype<\/span><\/span> was\u00a0not\u00a0good enough, \u00a0I\u00a0think I can use the infrared proximity sensor to detect if any other bikes\u00a0are\u00a0close to or through by you. When they are close to you in short destance<\/span><\/span>, the sensor will know that and tell Arduino<\/span><\/span> to operate a mini projector to post Hello word on the bike lane that looks as the same as the image below:<\/p>\n <\/p>\n![\"\"](\"http:\/\/interaction2012.coin-operated.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/\u56fe\u72473.jpg\")
